What You’ll Do
In this veterinary role, your responsibilities may include:
- Safely restraining patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Triaging incoming veterinary patients and helping the team prioritize care
- Collecting and processing laboratory samples
- Assisting with diagnostic imaging, including digital radiographs
- Providing nursing care and monitoring hospitalized patients with varying levels of stability
- Administering medications as directed by the veterinary team
- Obtaining medical histories and communicating treatment plans and instructions to clients
- Preparing patients for surgery and assisting with veterinary surgical procedures
- Supporting anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery
- Helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming veterinary environment
Our hospital uses modern veterinary technology and diagnostic tools, including ultrasound, digital X-ray, in-house laboratory capabilities, and other diagnostic equipment. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced veterinarians and veterinary technicians while gaining exposure to a wide range of cases and services.

We’re looking for someone who has:
- At least 1 year of veterinary assistant experience
- Weekend and holiday availability
- Strong animal handling and restraint skills
- Experience with sample collection, medical histories, laboratory testing, and radiographs
- An interest in continuing to develop veterinary skills and knowledge
- A self-starter mindset and willingness to learn
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Anesthesia monitoring experience is a plus
