Position Summary

As the Accounting & Finance Manager, you will be a key member of our management team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the organization while supporting financial planning and business decision-making.

This is a hands-on role supporting three distinct entities - DecisivEdge, CorVant, and 5thPort - with operations across the United States, Canada, and India.

The ideal candidate brings a strong accounting foundation, experience in the service industry, and the ability to move comfortably between hands-on accounting responsibilities and broader financial planning, analysis, and process improvement.

How You Will Make an Impact

You will help ensure accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls, compliance, and effective financial planning across our organization. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys being close to the numbers - working directly with journal entries, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statements - while also providing meaningful financial insight to management.

Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Take an active, hands-on role in the accounting function, including journal entries, account reconciliations, general ledger activity, month-end close, and preparation and review of financial statements.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable with the support of Finance staff.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Maintain appropriate accounting controls, processes, and financial policies.
  • Support and manage audits, tax filings, and statutory reporting across entities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable U.S., Canadian, and Indian accounting requirements and GAAP/IFRS standards.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across DecisivEdge, CorVant, and 5thPort.
  • Monitor revenue, expenses, cash flow, and consolidated financial performance.
  • Analyze financial results and variances and provide practical recommendations to management.
  • Prepare financial reporting and analysis to support business decisions.

Cash Flow & Treasury

  • Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and liquidity across entities.
  • Monitor working capital and support effective cash management and forecasting.
  • Help identify financial risks and ensure appropriate financial continuity and controls.

Tax, Compliance & Cross-Border Operations

  • Coordinate tax planning, filings, audits, and other compliance requirements with internal and external resources.
  • Support cross-border accounting matters across the United States, Canada, and India.
  • Manage and support transfer pricing documentation and related-party transactions.

Technology & Process Improvement

  • Leverage Zoho Books, QuickBooks, PV (internal tool), Excel, and other finance systems to improve reporting, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting and finance processes through automation and improved workflows.
  • Help strengthen financial reporting, controls, and data visibility as the organization evolves.

Team Leadership

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and support to Finance staff, including AP/AR functions.
  • Establish clear expectations, appropriate controls, and accountability within the Finance function.
  • Foster collaboration, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing across the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CPA preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including experience with month-end close, general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Prior experience in a service-based industry is required; professional services, consulting, technology services, or a similar environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a small-to-mid-sized organization where Finance leaders remain hands-on in day-to-day accounting activities.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, internal controls, and financial best practices.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
  • Experience with Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar accounting/ERP platforms.
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with financial data and reporting tools.
  • Exposure to multi-entity or international accounting, transfer pricing, or cross-border operations is preferred.
  • M&A experience is an asset but not required.
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to balance detailed accounting responsibilities with broader financial and business priorities.
