Job Description

The Sr. Producer will oversee the full scope of assigned productions, including team leadership, creative direction, staffing, budget coordination, show execution, and cross-functional collaboration. This role ensures all production personnel are aligned with the show’s vision, quality standards, and business objectives.

 



Basic Requirements:

  • Lead Producers, APs, PAs, talent, and production partners to ensure consistent execution of the show’s vision, creative direction, and production standards.
  • Oversee the full production process for assigned shows, including agendas, formats, rundowns, story selection, graphics, research, and breaking news adjustments.
  • Assign responsibilities across studio, remote, field, editing, control room, technical production, scenery, and art teams based on business and production needs.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, feedback, and performance guidance to team members, while maintaining regular alignment with the immediate supervisor.
  • Coordinate staffing, hiring, scheduling, and time-off needs in partnership with management, HR, Operations, and Sports Finance.
  • Manage production budgets and administrative needs for assigned projects in coordination with Sports Finance and leadership.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Programming, Marketing, PR/Communications, Sales, Sponsorship, and external partners to support integrations, promotional priorities, talent assignments, and show deliverables.
  • Develop seasonal production plans, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend creative and operational enhancements that support programming goals.
  • Participate in recurring content and production meetings, providing clear updates, recommendations, and next steps to key stakeholders.
  • Fluency in Spanish is required.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience leading production teams for sports television or comparable live/event-based programming.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience producing late-night, studio-based, or talk-format television programming.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong judgment, problem-solving skills, and ability to navigate production challenges with urgency and sound decision-making.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Deep knowledge of the sports media landscape, with a strong creative point of view and passion for delivering high-quality sports programming.

Additional Requirements:

 

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
