Ready to play a key role in shaping the future of Winter Sports in one of Salomon's most strategic Alpine markets?

As Market Manager, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia & Croatia you will be responsible for driving profitable growth, gaining market share, and strengthening Salomon's leadership position in Winter Sports Equipment across this key market.

This role combines commercial leadership, business development, people management, and strategic execution. You will lead a local sales team, build strong partnerships across the winter sports ecosystem, and collaborate with multiple functions to deliver sustainable growth and exceptional market execution.

What will you do?

Drive business growth and market share

You will lead the commercial development of Salomon Winter Sports Equipment across Austria, Hungary, Slovenia & Croatia by:

  • Developing and executing ambitious sales plans to achieve growth targets and increase market share.
  • Strengthening relationships with independent retailers and strategic partners.
  • Identifying market opportunities and new business potential.
  • Ensuring operational excellence and delivering profitable growth across the cluster.
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to proactively drive business performance.

Lead and develop the local sales team

You will inspire, coach and develop a high-performing sales organization by:

  • Leading a team of Sales Representatives and supporting their professional development.
  • Creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Developing both commercial and technical product expertise within the team.
  • Promoting a strong sell-out mindset and excellence in field execution.
  • Ensuring clear objectives, performance management and effective resource allocation.

Adapt and execute the market strategy

You will translate Salomon's EMEA strategy into impactful local action plans by:

  • Defining market priorities and growth initiatives adapted to each country.
  • Identifying business opportunities and mitigating potential risks.
  • Aligning commercial, marketing and brand initiatives with local market needs.
  • Ensuring flawless execution of strategic projects and seasonal priorities.
  • Providing market insights to influence regional decision-making.

Build a winning Winter Sports ecosystem

As the face of Salomon Winter Sports Equipment in the market, you will:

  • Build long-term partnerships with specialist retailers, rental operators, ski resorts and industry stakeholders.
  • Strengthen Salomon's visibility, credibility and leadership within the winter sports community.
  • Promote an expert-to-expert approach with key partners.
  • Represent Salomon at industry and customer events.
  • Support initiatives that enhance the consumer experience and brand engagement.

Drive cross-functional collaboration and business performance

You will work closely with Marketing, Trade Marketing, Key Account Management and Operations teams to maximize business results by:

  • Delivering best-in-class Go-To-Market execution.
  • Leading business planning, forecasting and performance reviews.
  • Ensuring optimal inventory management and operational efficiency.
  • Tracking KPIs and implementing corrective actions when needed.
  • Driving a profitable and sustainable growth agenda across the cluster.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in sales leadership, business development, or commercial management.
  • Experience within sporting goods, outdoor, winter sports, consumer goods or a comparable industry.
  • Strong understanding of wholesale and retail distribution networks.
  • Experience leading and developing teams.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including forecasting and performance management.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple countries and stakeholders.
