Warehouse Associate - Philly (Part Time, Seasonal)

We're hiring seasonal support for our printing operations to meet holiday demand. This is a part-time, temporary role working day shift on Mondays and Saturdays, with an immediate start through mid-January.

Seasonal associates who perform well may be considered for permanent openings as business needs allow, though continued employment beyond the assignment is not guaranteed.

The Challenge to Solve

Buying affordable, high quality supplies is one of the biggest challenges facing local independent restaurants today; they pay higher prices than franchises and often must use outdated systems to place & receive their orders. Slice’s "The Goods" seeks to solve this challenge by empowering local restaurant owners to order high-quality supplies at unmatched prices, on demand, in just a few clicks.

The Role

Your day will be fast-paced and will include the following tasks:

• Learning to operate and supporting high-volume digital printers for corrugated cardboard (training provided!)
• Supporting daily warehouse operations including picking, packing, loading and unloading, and palletizing
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse and production environment
• Delivering supplies (ex: pizza boxes, paper bags, plastic cutlery kits) to our customers via Slice delivery vans as needed
• Maintaining a positive & professional attitude when interacting with customers

Compensation: $22 per hour

The Team

As a member of The Goods team, you will work with other associates and drivers to complete needed tasks, and report to our Bellmawr Warehouse Lead.

The Winning Recipe

These are the core competencies this role calls for:

• 1-2 years of warehouse, production, manufacturing, or other relevant experience
• Valid US Driver's License + clean driving record 
• Reliable transportation to and from our warehouse in Bellmawr 
• Familiarity with computers or mechanical equipment
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members & customers 
• Physically capable of lifting ~50 lbs, and engaging in physical work safely for the duration of the shift; this includes standing, crouching, bending & reaching
• Reliable attendance on working days 
• Fluent Spanish speaking skills are a plus!
