Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities include such areas as:
- Remove, fabricate, install, refurbish and modify aircraft interior equipment and furnishings
- Inspect, repair and maintain aircraft interior, including, but not limited to upholstery, carpet, cabinetry, panels, lighting, and other furnishings
- Fabricate, using design/engineering drawings and aircraft specifications, cover and install flat panels and curtains
- Fabricate various metal parts, fit panels, cabin head liners, upper sidewalls, lower side panels, and hatch panels.
- Work with fabric, vinyl and leather hides, composites and other materials using specified adhesives, sewing equipment, hardware, hand tools and various power tools
- Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
- Valid Driver’s License (Drivers Abstract Required)
- Proven work experience as an upholsterer is an asset
- Proficiency in using upholstery hand tools for aircraft interior components
- Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to interpret design templates for aircraft interior modifications
- Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Must be able to obtain Transport Canada Airport Restricted Area Pass
