Role overview
Reporting to the Head of Procurement and Logistics, and working in our new, state-of-the-art Manufacturing Facility, this is a senior individual contributor role with end-to-end ownership of our Warehouse Logistics operations – including outbound shipping, inbound receiving, freight and customs compliance, and Sales Stock management – as well as raw material Inventory for the manufacturing facility.
Broad responsibilities include owning our Sales Warehouse and Stock, picking, packing and shipping products to customers, and receiving and processing deliveries from our Suppliers, as well as Raw Material Inventory for the manufacturing facility – ensuring stock accuracy, availability and traceability to prevent production delays. This role acts as
a key point of coordination between Warehouse, Procurement and Production, and provides day-to-day guidance and support to junior Logistics team members.
What you will do
- Own end-to-end warehouse logistics for high-value navigation hardware, covering outbound shipping, inbound receiving, freight and customs, and sales stock
- Deliver accurate, on-time customer shipments, including picking, packing, labelling and critical quality documentation, and fix the root causes of shipping errors and returns
- Lead receiving and inspection of electronic, mechanical and optical components against purchase orders, drawings and quality requirements, escalating discrepancies to Procurement
- Own raw material and finished goods inventory accuracy in Microsoft Dynamics 365: lead the cycle count program, find the root cause of variances and reconcile stock
- Monitor stock against production schedules, flagging shortages and supply risk early so production is never held up
- Prepare and audit international trade documents (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading) and manage temporary shipments such as loans and RMAs
- Check HS/HTS classification and Incoterms, flag dual-use or export-controlled hardware under Defence Export Controls, and work with customs brokers and the Australian Border Force on clearance
- Act as the warehouse's first point of escalation, giving day-to-day guidance and training to junior Logistics Coordinators and casual staff
- Drive continuous improvement and develop SOPs and work instructions across shipping, receiving and inventory
- Keep warehouse equipment calibrated and maintained, and champion a strong safety culture

- High attention to detail – ensure items are correctly located, stored, packed and accurately counted
- Strong communication skills – able to provide status updates, constraints, issues etc. verbally or in writing with ease
