Export Officer - Airfreight

Job Description

Book airline space once complete shipment details are received and confirmed.
Verify all required documentation to ensure accurate preparation and execution of Air Waybills (AWBs).
Conduct cargo screening procedures in accordance with applicable requirements.
Assist with the loading, unloading, handling and storage of export cargo.
Assist with import airfreight shipment clearance at the Wailekutu Bond as required.
Assist with the transfer of cargo from Suva to Nadi to support export operations.
Provide quotations to customers when required.
Assist with cargo lodgement and ensure shipments are transferred to the night truck within required timelines.
Support the team with other operational duties as required.
Provide assistance to other departments as and when required.

Education

Certificate or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport, or a related field is preferred.
CAAF Cargo Screener and/or Quality Control license is preferred.
Valid Group 2 Manual Driving License.
Group 9 License will be an added advantage.

Experience

Skills

Knowledge and understanding of Known and Unknown Cargo requirements.
Good knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
Fast learner with the ability to adapt to changing operational requirements.
Strong commitment to safety, compliance and customer service.
