Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Bioanalytical Chemist to support the analysis of protein and small molecule therapeutics in a laboratory setting. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on analytical experience who are comfortable working independently while maintaining high-quality laboratory practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing HPLC/ UPLC, SDS-PAGE, iCE, and CE and applying these methods to a broad range of biotherapeutics for early and late-stage products.
- Run instrumentation independently including, but not limited to UPLC/HPLC, iCE, CGE, pH, and UV-vis spectroscopy
- Preparing samples and standards for analysis and running instrumentation with minimal supervision
- The candidate is expected to tabulate and provide data to their customers
- Perform monthly maintenance of laboratory equipment and other laboratory support activities
- Knowledge of electronic notebooks and LIMS
Required
- The candidate should have a minimum of a B.S degree in biochemistry, analytical chemistry, chemistry, or related discipline, and 2-6 years of experience working with biological molecules using an array of analytical methodologies.
- The ideal candidate will have knowledge in protein biochemistry and analytical chemistry, and experience using some or all of the following techniques: HPLC/ UPLC, SDS-PAGE, iCE, CE, and/or peptide mapping for analysis of biologicals including proteins, antibodies, peptides, and conjugates.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a laboratory environment
- Non-technical attributes required include verbal and written communication skills, cooperation and teamwork skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Excel, and self-awareness.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship
Preferred
- Experience with iCE (imaged capillary electrophoresis)
- Strong HPLC or UHPLC skills
- Knowledge of compendial assays (USP/EP methods)
Positions are full-time, working Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within commutable distance to Andover, MA are encouraged to apply.
