Chief Engineer - The Hoxton, Amsterdam

What you’ll do…

• Leading by example: not being afraid of rolling up your sleeves to get things done.
• Guiding your team to high performance by creating a collaborative and positive culture.
• Caring genuinly for our building: take care of it like you’d take care of your own home.
• Putting our guests first: understand that our guests exptect prompt service & act accordingly.
• Designing maintenance procedures and work methods.
• Planning and scheduling planned and unplanned work.
• Responding immediately to and diagnosing emergencies and unplanned problems .
• Arranging specialist procurement of materials and services.
• Organising maintenance tools, stores and equipment.
• Controlling maintenance costs and manage monthly budgets.
• Checking and calibrating plant and equipment to make sure they are accurate.
• Interacting and communicating closesly with other departments to ensure efficient operations.
• Organising teams to manage leave and working hours to ensure 24-hour cover is available.
• Being personable, engaging, sociable and have a good sense of humour.
