Job Description
- Operate and monitor boiler systems, including fuel supply, water levels, pressure gauges, and temperature controls; conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment, tubes, and valves
- Perform water treatment and chemical analysis to ensure proper water quality; document all operational activities, maintenance performed, fuel consumption, and system parameters in maintenance logs
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues, implementing corrective actions or escalating problems to maintenance personnel as needed
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and local regulatory requirements; respond promptly to alarms and abnormal conditions to maintain system integrity
- Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to schedule repairs and system upgrades while maintaining a clean work environment and working shift schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
- Proven experience operating and maintaining industrial boiler systems
- Strong knowledge of steam generation, pressure vessel operations, and related mechanical systems
- Familiarity with safety protocols and local regulatory compliance requirements
- Proficiency in water treatment procedures and chemical analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate record-keeping and documentation
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve operational issues
- Ability to work shift schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks and work in industrial environments
- Preferred: Boiler operator certification or equivalent credentials
- Preferred: Experience with automated boiler control systems and energy efficiency optimization
- Preferred: Knowledge of multiple boiler types and configurations
