Job Description
Avery Dennison is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join the Fastener Group in Fitchburg, MA. The Warehouse Supervisor plays an integral role in our Operations at Performance Tapes. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the ongoing material handling, receiving, WIP and FG shipping processes including transactional accuracy. The Warehouse Supervisor is also responsible for providing leadership and direction for all Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost reduction objectives that meet and exceed our internal and external customers' needs.
Key Responsibilities
This is an on-site position located at our facility in Fitchburg, MA.
Provide daily leadership to instill and reinforce an injury-free workplace, environmental compliance, and consistent execution of housekeeping tasks and waste removal.
Manage daily material handling, receiving, WIP, and FG shipping processes, ensuring transactional accuracy, weekly inventory reporting, and timely freight claim processing.
Lead daily team meetings and develop a customer-centric, collaborative culture across the shipping and material handling team of 9-12 direct reports.
Continuously train, motivate, coach, and develop team members, while managing staffing schedules to economically meet business requirements and build cross-training opportunities.
Drive execution of site improvement plans and continuous improvement activities utilizing Enterprise Lean Sigma (ELS) to eliminate waste, optimize quality, and achieve operational targets.
5+ years of experience in a Shipping & Receiving, logistics, or material planning role. 2 years of experience supervising others.
HS diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
Strong communication skills with the proven ability to build collaborative relationships across all functions, management levels, and employees.
Results-oriented mindset with high customer focus and demonstrated ability to take ownership to proactively resolve issues.
Strong understanding of applicable computer systems, including Microsoft Excel/Google Suite and business systems (TMS, MFGpro, CLS, MES, Fastrack).
Familiarity with process documentation and continuous improvement, flexibility to initiate change, and bilingual English / Spanish skills preferred.
Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is $68,000- $90,000 / year. The hiring base salary range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range, and in some circumstances may be above or below the range, based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education and training, and location, as well as the job scope and complexity, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position, which may change depending on the candidate pool.
