Job Description

Arden Engineering Constructors, LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join our Electrical Division in Pawtucket, RI. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical construction projects. This role collaborates with clients, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams throughout the bidding and preconstruction process to support successful project pursuits. The position provides leadership in cost analysis, scope review, value engineering, subcontractor and supplier solicitation, and bid strategy development while helping ensure projects are positioned for successful execution, profitability, and client satisfaction.

 Essential Duties:

  • Develop detailed electrical cost estimates for commercial, industrial, and institutional construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Review project blueprints, specifications, drawings, and related documentation to determine scope, identify risks, and develop accurate pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure comprehensive bid preparation.
  • Solicit, evaluate, and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure compliance with project requirements and competitive pricing.
  • Prepare complete bid packages and proposals, ensuring timely and accurate submission in accordance with client requirements and deadlines.
  • Identify opportunities for value engineering, cost savings, and risk mitigation during the estimating and preconstruction process.
  • Maintain and leverage historical estimating data, unit costs, and project records to support continuous improvement and estimate accuracy.



Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in electrical construction estimating, project management, or a closely related field.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods, materials, labor productivity, estimating practices, and contract documents.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project plans.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Sage Timberline, Bluebeam, Accubid, or similar estimating and construction management software preferred.
  • Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience will be accepted.
  • Experience with commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical construction projects, value engineering, cost analysis, and bid preparation is highly desirable.
