The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and scaling B2B sales organisations, developing OEM relationships, managing strategic accounts, and converting complex technical requirements into commercially successful solutions.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall sales strategy aligned with business growth and revenue objectives.
  • Lead OEM sales initiatives and build long-term relationships with strategic OEM customers.
  • Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities across industrial and electrical engineering markets.
  • Build strong relationships with procurement heads, sourcing teams, engineering leaders, plant heads, CXOs, and other key decision-makers.
  • Develop strategic account plans for key OEM and enterprise customers.
  • Lead complex B2B sales cycles involving technical evaluation, commercial negotiation, procurement processes, and contract closure.
  • Understand customer procurement requirements, vendor qualification processes, sourcing strategies, and commercial expectations.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to translate customer requirements into technically and commercially viable solutions.
  • Drive pricing, quotation, proposal, negotiation, and order-closure processes.
  • Establish sales forecasts, pipelines, targets, and performance metrics and ensure consistent achievement of revenue goals.
  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales and business development team.
  • Develop sales territories, customer segments, channels, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing movements, customer requirements, and emerging opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless customer execution.
  • Strengthen sales processes, CRM discipline, reporting, forecasting, and pipeline management.
  • Develop strategic partnerships and channel relationships to expand market reach.
  • Represent the organisation in important customer meetings, industry forums, negotiations, and strategic business discussions.
  • Provide senior leadership with regular updates on sales performance, pipeline, market opportunities, risks, and growth initiatives.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • 10+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, OEM sales, industrial sales, or electrical engineering-related businesses.
  • Proven experience leading sales organisations and delivering sustained revenue growth.
  • Strong hands-on experience in OEM sales and strategic account management.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, sourcing, vendor qualification, commercial negotiations, and enterprise buying cycles.
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical engineering, electrical products, systems, components, or industrial solutions.
  • Experience engaging with OEMs, procurement teams, engineering teams, plant leadership, and CXO-level stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, consultative, and technically driven sales cycles.
  • Strong understanding of pricing, commercial strategy, proposals, negotiations, forecasting, and sales pipeline management.
  • Experience building and mentoring high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking with the ability to identify and prioritise high-value opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a clear focus on revenue, profitability, customer acquisition, and long-term account growth.
  • Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Procurement, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Engineering qualification, preferably in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership presence and the ability to influence senior decision-makers and build long-term customer relationships.
