Job Description

As a Platform Tester, you'll safeguard the quality of the core platform behind Intelerad's medical imaging solutions: the services, APIs, integrations, and infrastructure that healthcare providers rely on every day. Building on a strong testing foundation, you'll own test strategy for platform components, expand automated coverage across back-end and integration layers, and partner with Engineering, DevOps, and Product teams. Together you'll make sure every release is stable, scalable, and ready for clinical environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Test Strategy: Own test planning and execution for assigned platform components and services. Define coverage across functional, integration, regression, and non-functional testing to reduce release risk.

  • Automation & CI/CD Integration: Design, build, and maintain automated test suites for APIs, services, and back-end systems. Integrate them into CI/CD pipelines to shorten feedback cycles and increase release confidence.

  • Integration & Non-Functional Testing: Validate platform behaviour across interfaces and deployment environments. This includes interoperability (e.g., DICOM, HL7), performance, scalability, and upgrade and migration scenarios.

  • Defect Analysis & Resolution: Investigate complex, cross-component issues using logs, data, and system diagnostics to isolate root causes. Partner with engineering teams to drive timely resolution and prevent recurrence.

  • Quality Practice & Mentorship: Contribute to platform testing standards and quality metrics. Guide Software Testers on platform testing approaches, tooling, and best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance, including experience testing integrated, multi-service, or platform-level systems, or equivalent experience.

  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks for API and integration testing.

  • Working knowledge of SQL, test management tooling (e.g., qTest, Zephyr), and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience testing within containerized or cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Demonstrated ability to lead test strategy for complex releases with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications & Special Requirements

  • Experience with performance and load testing tools for distributed systems.

  • Healthcare IT or medical imaging domain knowledge (e.g., PACS, RIS, DICOM) is a plus.

  • ISTQB certification or equivalent.
