Job Description
Essential Duties:
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers, colleagues, supervisors, administrative personnel, field craft workers/supervisors, vendors, and subcontractors based on mutual respect and integrity
- Organize and manage project documentation in a comprehensive and accurate manner, including but not limited to, procurement activities, change order requests, subcontracts, materials and equipment, etc.
- Oversee and manage project budget for all material and labor costs
- Understand project specifications, plans, and schedule as well as the resources needed to complete the work within the allotted time frame.
- Manage all aspects of assigned construction project objectives; assess quality of work, track progress, monitor safety of personnel, attend project-related meetings, etc.
- Actively monitor project performance and estimate cost projections
- Manage billings to maintain positive cash flow
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent education, training, and relevant experience will be considered.
- 6-10 years of experience in fire protection project management, operations, or a closely related construction leadership role.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop project teams while driving successful project outcomes.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to establish accountability, foster collaboration, and create a positive, results-oriented work environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, employees, vendors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of project budgeting, cost control, forecasting, contract administration, scheduling, and project execution.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Sage Timberline or similar construction financial management software is strongly preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, build strong client relationships, and contribute to the continued growth and success of the Fire Protection Division.
