About the Role

SOSi is seeking an experienced Financial Control Analyst to own the month-end close for a portfolio of T&M, firm-fixed-price, and cost-plus government contracts. This is a fast-paced, deadline-driven role where you will juggle multiple projects at once and serve as the financial partner to Program Managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run the monthly close for assigned projects, coordinating with PMs, Payroll, AP, and Billing.
  • Process subcontractor and vendor invoices (S2P), and prepare, post, and validate accruals.
  • Perform dual timecard reconciliations and resolve labor discrepancies before billing.
  • Calculate and validate revenue on T&M, fixed-price, and cost-plus contracts, including revenue adjustments, provisional billing rates, and fee.
  • Review customer invoices and submit invoices and Financial Status Reports on time.
  • Monitor contract funding and ceilings and flag risks to PMs early.
  • Analyze GL and PSR results and write clear variance commentary.
  • Update EACs and forecasts in TM1 with PMs each month.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain secret clearance, if required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Five years in financial analysis, project control or project accounting, including three+ years on government contracts.
  • Hands-on month-end close experience: accruals, revenue recognition, GL review, and timecard reconciliation.
  • Working knowledge of T&M, firm-fixed-price, and cost-plus billing, and FAR cost principles.
  • Deltek Costpoint (or similar ERP) and advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups).
  • Ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and communicate clearly with PMs in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with S2P, TM1, and DCAA audits.
  • Cost-plus closeout, indirect rate true-ups, or incurred cost submissions.

Why Join SOSi

  • Mission-focused government programs at home and overseas.
  • Broad exposure across contract types and entities that grows your skills fast.

Work Environment

  • The Financial Control Analyst typically works in an office environment with 3 days in the office and 2 days of optional remote work.
  • Occasional extended hours or weekends may be required during peak periods.
